- My wife and I celebrated 6 years of marriage on Sunday, May 18, 2008. I still remember the day when the LORD blessed HER to meet me (I'm just serious, honey - love ya'). A Texan married to a New Yorker...only God could do that. :)
- This past Friday, we hosted our second Married Life Live event. We got this ministry concept from Northpoint Community Church. It seems to be working well for us right now. We, of course, adapted it to fit our context. We focused on teaching married couples about leadership and submission through the art of swing dancing. It was fun and beneficial.
- We finally were able to get our bathrooms tiled and some of the rooms in our house painted. We thought about doing these projects ourselves, but after seeing what the guys had to do to get it done, we were glad that we paid them to do it. What they got done in roughly four days (three days for tiling and one day for painting) would have probably taken us two to three weeks to complete.
- We are coming around the third leg in terms of planning for our 2008 HALFTIME Men's Conference and Sisters Summit. Once we get some things finalized, I will post the information for both conferences.
- Lastly, my wife and I will be traveling to Oklahoma sometime in the near future. We heard that OK is a great state with some interesting sites to see. We also heard that OK is a very beautiful state as it relates to the natural surroundings. If you know of any places that are "must see places", please let me know. We might be able to stop by Life Church as well. I have been a "fan" of Craig Groeschel for a minute now.
Okay, that's enough for now.
